If you don't mind, I'd point out the really important features, which were obviously and decisively better in Duke Nukem 3D - which means, Duke talking and in-game swearing isn't one of them.ġ. Not just graphically, but feature-wise as well. It uses a more advanced engine, so it's natural that when it comes down to a definite answer, Duke Nukem 3D would get a much better score. I would not say that Duke Nukem 3D is more likeable than Doom I or II. Duke 3D has alot of funny one liners & voice lines, which is where its charm comes from, whereas Doom has alot of more action packed gameplay. Personally, I like all 3 of these since Duke 3D is it's own beast. +Though not as colorful, the textures in Duke's city levels were MUCH better than Doom 2's +Duke's jetpack allowed for more interesting maneuvering throughout levels, but would also allow skipping of major areas. +Duke had platforming elements, which worked well in a bunch of places, but not so in others On that note, Duke felt like a peice of styrofoam The damage system in Duke was wack in comparison to Doom Duke 3D's level design was not nearly as diverse as Doom's (I always get E1L1 confused with E1L2)
